Mercy Housing and Shelter has been working to give hope and transform lives for more than 35 years. 

We continue to open our arms to embrace and help all of those in need. Each and every person who comes to us in need has a story. Their stories are tragic, heroic, and at times desperate, and we embrace each as we strive to live out our core values of: RESPECT, COMPASSION, and RESPONSIBILITY. We do not take our responsibility lightly, because we know their lives are in our hands.

This past year, Mercy served 4,835 people who were homeless or at risk of becoming homeless.  The agency’s residential program housed and assisted 46 residents and provided 105,229 meals. Supportive Housing Services served 141 households (145 adults and 19 children) in scattered site housing units. Mercy programs assisted 216 people to obtain permanent housing. The Friendship Center served 49,779 meals to 4,314 individual clients; filled 118 food pantry requests; and met 2,010 requests for services such as case management, medical care with the on-site nurse, showers, toiletries, and more.

The generosity of our donors who provide financial assistance and in-kind donations allow us to continue to assist homeless men, woman, and children and those at immediate risk of being homeless.
